The Boys are coming Home!

This is it, they are on the way home from Iraq. The 210th has done its duty and served for over a year. We are proud of our boys, umm, men, that have dedicated their lives to serving our country, and for not backing down from what has been expected of them. Since the prisoner abuse crap has come out, it has made it more diffiult for all the MP divisions. It doesn't matter that not all these MP's did such things, they are quilty by association. Funny how we still want to label all persons of any group, the same as the bad part of that group.
I am so appreciative of all the Iraqis that blog. I have learned more from reading their blogs than any of our news media we get here in the states. They helped how I felt about the whole war issue. I see them more as human beings now instead of something I didn't know anything about.
I feel we should be very proud of all our family members that have helped in this undertaking of freeing a nation. It has been scary for us over here waiting daily to hear any news about the well being of our family members. I hope Iraq obtains the freedon it deserves, after all, we are our brothers keepers. Until this started, I had no idea of all the horrors these people lived with daily. No person deserves that kind of life. We treat our pets better than most Iraqis lived. How sad that people could even want to control others to that extreme. Of course, growing up with freedom to do and be whatever we want, within reason, we can't fathom living any other way.
As hard as it is to know we need to stay in this for the long haul, it isn't the first time America has stood up for what's right, and probably won't be the last. We have short attention spans, but, we also have endurance.
God Bless America, and all our friends, no matter what nationality!
